The teaching of the English language as a social practice follows a theoretical-methodological orientation towards

(a)

the development of linguistic skills with a focus on globalization and the internationalization of basic education.

(b)

the utilitarian dimension of language, encompassing knowledge of grammatical facts and the various contexts of language use in conversation.

(c)

the knowledge of discourse genres as a connection between grammatical cases and the artificiality of genres in teaching practices.

(d)

the local productive arrangement, integrating language into the societal context of use, with a focus on job creation and income generation for the population.

(e)

the perspective of linguistic education, both conscious and critical, in which pedagogical and political dimensions are intrinsically connected.
